Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using VoltaHaul's website and freight services. By accessing voltahaul.com or booking a shipment with VoltaHaul LLC ("VoltaHaul," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms.
VoltaHaul provides freight forwarding and logistics services for shipments from the United States to Ghana, including ocean freight, air freight, and vehicle shipping. We act as a freight forwarder and logistics intermediary; we do not own or operate ocean vessels, aircraft, or warehouses unless explicitly stated.
All services are subject to availability, applicable laws and regulations (including U.S. export regulations and Ghana import regulations), and the terms of our carrier partners.
You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. By creating an account, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may not ship items that are illegal under U.S. or Ghanaian law, or items prohibited by our carrier partners, including but not limited to:
VoltaHaul reserves the right to refuse, inspect, or return any shipment at our discretion. Shipping prohibited items may result in immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant authorities.
All price quotes are estimates based on the information you provide (dimensions, weight, declared value, destination). Final charges may differ if the actual shipment details differ from those quoted, or if additional fees apply (e.g., port congestion surcharges, customs examination fees, storage charges, fuel surcharges). We will notify you of any material changes before processing payment where reasonably practicable.
Payment is due as specified at the time of booking. We accept major credit and debit cards via our third-party payment processor. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for all applicable fees. All amounts are in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. Shipments may be held pending payment clearance.
You must accurately declare the value of your shipment. VoltaHaul's liability for loss or damage is limited to the lesser of the actual proven loss or the declared value, up to a maximum of $100 USD per shipment unless you purchase additional cargo insurance through us or a third party prior to shipment.
We strongly recommend purchasing cargo insurance. VoltaHaul is not liable for loss or damage caused by: acts of God, force majeure, customs seizure or detention, inherent defects in the goods, improper packing by the shipper, or delays outside our reasonable control.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your shipment complies with all applicable customs, import, and export laws. Any customs duties, taxes, import fees, or government-imposed charges assessed in Ghana or the United States are your responsibility and will be charged to you in addition to freight costs. VoltaHaul will make reasonable efforts to facilitate customs clearance but cannot guarantee release timelines or outcomes.
Estimated transit times are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed. VoltaHaul is not liable for delays caused by weather, port congestion, customs processing, carrier delays, or other factors beyond our control. Time-sensitive shipments should be disclosed at booking and may require air freight.
Any claim for loss or damage must be submitted in writing to info@voltahaul.com within 14 days of the delivery date (or expected delivery date in the case of non-delivery). Claims submitted after this period may be denied. Supporting documentation (photos, receipts, packing lists) will be required.
Cancellation requests must be submitted before the cargo has been tendered to a carrier. Once cargo is in transit, cancellation may not be possible and fees may apply. Refunds for cancelled shipments are processed within 10 business days, less any costs already incurred (e.g., pick-up fees, documentation charges).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoltaHaul's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific shipment giving rise to the claim. In no event shall VoltaHaul be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VoltaHaul, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of our services, your breach of these Terms, or your shipment of prohibited or misdeclared items.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be submitted to good-faith negotiation.
